In 2005 Starbucks began printing quotes on it’s coffee cups in a campaign called “The way we see it” Pastor Rick Warrens quote raised so much controversy that people threatened boycotts and requested Starbucks remove this quote.

There was another quote from Armistead Maupin “life is too damn short” to hide being gay.

Nobody complained about that one.
